From Healing Hands to a Loving Heart:
Jesse's path to becoming a doctor was illuminated by both personal struggles and profound gratitude. "I grew up in a much different home situation than the one my daughters are blessed to have," she reflects. "I remember even as a young child being in awe of how someone can use their hands to ‘fix’ another person." This admiration for the healing profession, coupled with her own experiences, fueled her determination to pursue medicine. "I knew then that I wanted to be a doctor and a surgeon, and to dedicate my life to making the world a better place for kids – regardless of their familial financial situation."

Balancing Acts:
Navigating the intricate dance between a demanding career and the joys of motherhood hasn't been without its challenges. Jesse candidly shares her journey of setting boundaries, saying, "Honestly, there is a lot of hard (also a lot of good) but in my career I could work every single second of the day." Yet, amidst the chaos, she finds solace in knowing that her daughters witness firsthand the power of passion and love in both her professional and personal life.

The Gift of Motherhood:
"For me, the best part is hands down hearing Daphne tell people she wants to be an ophthalmologist like her mommy," Jesse says with a proud smile.
