The Proof: my very first Ele Story book… : )
Hi world! I thought I'd post a quick update of the 2nd proof of our lookbook that we got from the printer yesterday…it's been a couple of weeks' work putting the catalog together, and we hope that people will enjoy them! We are planning on making them accessible at all the craft shows and trunk shows we will be doing this summer! More on all of this soon..
About 3 weekends ago, I had to ask Hubby to take our daughter our for about a day so I can actually get started on some work at home. I seem to always suffer from "mommy guilt"--maybe all working moms do, isn't it true? I felt badly about making the request. But working a full time job and raising a toddler while trying to grow this endeavor on the side is in the least bit glamorous. Friends often ask me, "How do you do it all?" I truly don't know sometimes--somehow, we manage, hubby and I. But not without the support and encouragement of friends and family, the grace of God (truly, without it I would be so lost)--and even strangers in passing, in brief conversation, would give me the most encouraging words...
So I can't wait to share this story book with you. My only regret not being able to fit more pages and every single girl in the catalog--since it's a 2-in-1 Fall AND Spring 2014 catalog (Spring is on the reverse side!). Every girl was just so super cute and sweet, but in the end I had to choose the ones based on what was featured, and whether or not the colors in the photos worked well with the layout…but my digital lookbook which I'll eventually put online will be a much bigger book, and I can finally include all of my favorite shots!
Special shoutout to my friend and former colleague Melissa Fuller, my photographer--her photos capture so much beauty and life, that it far exceeded my expectations of what these photoshoots are supposed to be like. <3
